Welcome to
MiniBots!

Setting courses for sailboat racing can be a hassle with traditional buoys and anchors.

Minibots aims to solve this problem by developing robotic anchorless buoys to allow sailors to set and change their courses easier and faster than ever before.

No more retrieving marks with a motorboat—MiniBot Robotic Buoys move into position and hold steady with just a tap of the button.

MiniBots make course setup faster, easier, and more accurate, so sailors can focus on racing, not logistics.

Equipped with precise GPS and an onboard IMU, the MiniBots hold their position reliably. Long-range radio communication lets them travel kilometers away, all controlled through a simple and powerful mobile app.

This project was brought to life by a team of undergraduate engineers from Boston University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering department.

United by a passion for innovation and hands-on problem solving, each member contributed unique skills from embedded systems and PCB design to app development and mechanical packaging.

Together, they engineered a fully integrated system of robotic buoys to enhance the experience of remote control sailing.
